So which car will you take? I'd love to take the 911 if I'm going, but can help but think the Audi Estate would be better suited. Am I missing the point?

We'll be going in the 360. :)

There are pros & cons to both going in something fun or sensible. Guess it comes down to how much stuff you want to take. Some folk take sensible cars/camper vans etc which probably make sense if you want to take loads of camping stuff, cookers, tv, beers etc.

To be honest, I don't think the drive there/back is that great (and the gendarmes are supposed to be pretty hot on speeding) but it's still great to go in something special rather than a daily driver and feel part of the petrol head convoy.

Last time we probably had 160+ out of the Cerbera but I won't be risking that this time. I'll save that for the autobahn! :-)

Both look cool but the Martini one might cause you less hassle!
Still planning on having the GT3 for then Steve?

A quote from David Lillywhite, editor of Octane...
"Don't take a boring car for the sake of comfort - you'll regret it when you see the open-top vintage Bentley go haring past."

911 it is Lee :)

Are folks up for heading into Le Mans on the Friday afternoon/evening for the drivers parade?
Apparently can get a bus or tram into town - once parked up on Friday I'm not planning on using the car until we leave on Monday.

I'm all booked up on the PH/AMOC campsite this year. Going to be going along to the Friday service too, has anyone else signed up for that?

We are getting the ferry across on the Tuesday morning from Dover and back on Sunday night/Monday morning (flying out for work on Tuesday morning :( )

Good to see some more Scottish contingent heading over :)
Didn't know about the PH Friday Service but was planning on going into Le Mans for the driver parade.

Not long to go now! :)
Will be on the PH/AMOC campsite too (blue 360 with 3 generations of 911) so see you there.
