If that is correct, his idea of 'fast' on the A'bahn may be something truly frightening!

Exhaust silencers - any chance of a remote system like the Porsche setup?
I know Stainless Creations had an S4 demo car rigged up like that.

I never managed to find out any more about him, my detective skills are pish!

Will get in touch with Stainless creations when I get a chance to see the cost involved, sounds interesting. Cheers

Aye you too.

The missus is joining me for the first 4 days but doesn't fancy being away from the kids for a week nor the Nurburgring.
Is there an airport with links to Inverness around that area?

Planning getting down to Baden Baden on day 1 then have a look round the Black Forest and down to Switerland on day two. I think I will hover around the Lucerne area for the next couple of days then up to the ring.

What do you reckon on getting to Baden Baden, the maps app is showing three routes possible.

Steve, you still fancying it?

We're going to stay near the Ring on day 1, then Down towards Baden Baden, Freiburg and staying at lake Konstanz on day 2. Day 3 is Switzerland, Lucerne, Interlaken and staying in Lauterbrunnen.

After that it just depends on which passes are open and where we want to go.

I had to reschedule until October as I have changed jobs and was meant to mobilise on the 6th which was the same day as the ferry booking so I unfortunately had no choice. A bit gutted but hopefully the weather is still decent enough later on in the year.
Anyone fancy a blast over then for a few days?

Thread resurrection I know but the trip is finally happening on the 5th September so looking for recommendations for a hotel around the Black Forest region for the first night preferably with secure covered parking.
I am taking the Caterham across rather than the Audi, it's going to be an interesting trip with no roof or windscreen

Interesting? Does not begin to describe the Black Forest in a car in autumn with no roof! Lol
