That'll be a neat trick...must be a bad case of Porschaholism if you need to/can manage to drive both at once.

I'm sure everyone knows who I am, please let me know if you don't. Couple of my most recent ones.

The 911 is still in the drive. It's been on many runs, including the original Gumbaw to Monaco from Glasgow. :D
The car will be at the Porsches in the Glen without me........let's wait and see how that goes?

I joined Porsche ownership a few weeks ago. I'm at the opposite end of the scale, with only 4 pots and some rust though..

Just spotted that, on SE?

I do love a nice S2 like that. I really oughta buy one before they all die a crumbly death.

I can get you S2 sills, but you need to be brave putting them on. You need to completely cut the old ones out and you can't check the fit until you've bit the bullit. :o

First post here, or on TT, so Hi :)

My new-to-me 996 Carrera 4S....

The past few weeks have been spent enjoying it before bringing the old ZT back into use for winter duties.

Will get some better pics up soon.

Cheers.

Thanks :)

Local to where, Lanarkshire? I only picked it up this month, so its probably not the same car.

I passed an identical car yesterday, and two black ones on Saturday... They're common as muck up here!

If it's the same car then it was in Glasgow ish. Very capable cars and I have fond memories of driving Fernando's old car. I'll ask him on Sunday if he sold it private or traded it in?

That was part of my thought too, though I don't yet know if this'll be a long term ownership thing. It's just crossed 151k miles, which is more than any car I've ever owned, and I'm now slightly concerned about the sills as follows ;)

The sills have been done prior to my ownership - earlier this year for MOT, though I don't know how, from the outside it looks like a neat job, though who knows what's lurking underneath there I guess.. I'm a former classic Mini owner with over-sill thoughts in my head :?

Other than that, it seems relatively solid though I'm yet to get it on a ramp for a closer inspection.
Top side wise, some small bubbling in the usual places, rear near the number plate lights, a little bit on the rear arch, and a couple of bits near window seals, and both doors. The drivers door is particularly bad, but it did come with a rust free (though not dent free unfortunately) pair.
For now, I plan to enjoy it and regroup my thoughts maybe next year!
