It's an mev rocket with a supercharged st170 engine. Good for 296bhp and 625kgs. Bit spritely.

Got plans for more power, less weight and stickier tyres

From engine spec, not the one advertised here recently.
Expect it must be fun what is handling like, expect it must be lively ?

Had a go in a Lotus 340r with nicely tuned Honda K20a unit, short ratio box and a snorkel intake about 6 inches from your ears, best thing ever I had a shot of and front end grip c/w an Elise was immense, it was at an Achmelvich camp weekend so mega roads to have a shot, not the most practical unless all you want to do is drive.
Presume this is a similar 340r/Atom type experience, what is the plans for use / upgrades ?
Look forward to seeing it driving somewhere around Lanarkshire, presume I saw ikarls a few months ago in Lanarkshire as it had the same camouflage wrap on it, driver with full blackened visor helmet driver ;)

PS no pics showing either for me

Thanks Ross!

Yeah, it's good fun. Very raw but taking it further and further and doing little mods as i go.

Plan to get some grp shell seats and get a bit of tilt on them, current ones are too upright after an hours drive.

Looking at the me221 ecu and plug n play loom, get some proper fuelling and vvt control on it, release a few more horses. Although the power and torque graph is pretty good already. I'll dig it out.

Rear wing is actually doing more than i thought it would, lifting the front end slightly do that needs played about with along with the nose wing. Dark art but i might just fluke it unless anyone has a wind tunnel they can loan me?

Wind tunnel? Selotape and some red string will do the same trick. I'm sure someone on TT with a Scooby mounted cam can record you whilst driving.

Cheers mate. Had stone stuck in pax pad/disc at the front. Some lovely scores on the disc and a very noisey drive home to get the wheel off.

Hoping to have new wheels on this week too.

Supposed bigger wheel will help, but tyres are going to be very important. What rubber you going to fit?

I liked the Toyo's I used to have on my 928 and think they were every bit as good as my Michelin Pilot Sports I have on the 911 now, but I've bought brand new Pirellis to see what they're like. I'm also a fan of the Goodyear Eagle F1, bought a few sets of them in my time. Is there a tyre that stands out for the wee kit cars?

They're an inch smaller the new wheels but bigger sidewalls and slightly wider tread too. R888s are the way to go i'm told.

Toyo R1R's are meant to be the dogs dangles, a mate of mine has another Quantum with 270bhp , and swears by them , quite limited on sizes though ;)
