Bye bye Mini hello BMW

Bye bye Mini hello BMW

After three years of faithful service the Mini is being replaced. Criteria were:- 1. Convertible, 2. Interesting, 3. Reasonable insurance as daughter may drive it occasionally, 4. Interesting, 5. Reliable. 6. Some Lux and style...... oh and 7. Interesting.
So we pick this up on Moday.

Nice one Steve, that looks great.
Stevie does often seem to have some nice cars in stock.

Excellent, welcome to the best area of Germany!! What's the turbo engine like? I take it that it likes a good hustle on a back road?

I'm now split between Munich and Stuttgart...... painful!!
I see difficult choices ahead for me, every time I want to drive anywhere!
From the short test drive I had it seems to pull like the proverbial train. I've never had a petrol turbo before so I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do. I expect it may not be too different to the supercharged Jag. But we will see after Monday.
I'm certainly glad we didn't go down the Z4 or SLK route. That would have been a bit of a cul -de- sac in terms of maintaining interest.
I think the Beemer will be quite entertaining :D

Great thanks Mike. Only had a short drive around today given the weather conditions, but we're happy so far! (Reminds me of the Jag..... In a very good way!)
How's the Z?

Yeah it's great ta. Haven't really driven it that quick yet with the weather we've had but like it.
Needs a damn good clean though!
