The Auld Yin's new car

The Auld Yin's new car

Postby OlberJ » Sat Nov 08, 2014 12:33 pm

So, my old man retired a couple of weeks ago and subsequently decided he didn't need to be paying for a soft roader to sit on the drive and depreciate. Ergo, the CX-5 was sold yesterday.

He is replacing it on Monday with something much more hoonable and i'm ever so slightly excited.

Anyone care to have a guess what it is?

It's white and from 1987, in parts...

He's just home so I nipped out with it for 10mins. Needs a little setting up and that interior changed to phase2.

That engine and box combo though...oh my.

It's just as I remember!

Pics to follow.

Good on him, He is lucky I never spotted that for sale first!
Out of the cars I have owned it is the 205 that is firmly at the top of my favourites to drive.
I had a white J plate 1.9 a few years back and then the grey 1.6 more recently, I know I shouldn't have sold it.

Edited to add, I have a set of the red phase two rear lights in the garage if you are interested Olie, I bought them a couple of years back but never got round to fitting them. Give us a shout if your old man wants them.
