You can take the vent in the door jam out and dangle an iPhone down inside. Usually gets a good picture if the inner and inside of the outer sill. If everything is ok, fill it full of rust proofing (POR 15 I think they use? ).

I have the receipt for the work somewhere, I can't remember who did but it's described as 'repair sills and wax fill' or similar and cost around £1400 - though I appreciate that's not necessarily an indicator of the quality of the work. The previous owner (and the one before that) did have it serviced at either Motortune Shotts or another Edinburgh Porsche specialist covering the last 6 years, and spent a fair bit refurbishing callipers, head gasket, decent tyres, chain service etc, so I'm relying on the basis that they seemed to care enough about it to throw money at it....

I will do the phone trick at some point though to see what can be seen.

Peter and Brian Millar are both experts in the 944. I'd feel easy knowing they looked after it if I were you n :D

Peter @ Motortune is a good guy and looked after my 968 for 5 years or so.

No longer a Porsche owner for now but a couple of pics of my previous ones which were both great cars...

Hello there. I'm Derek and this is my 911 turbo. It can usually be seen whooshing around Livingston.

I think I own this. Silverstone Auctions certainly took my money for it. Not sure exactly where it is! Just heard it has been MOTd, so I can now get it off its Isle of Mann plates and onto UK ones. Getting closer........
