The fourth Porsche In The Glen show recently took place at Calderglen Park near East Kilbride. Organised by friend of Tartan Tarmac, Brian Wood, it was a fantastic day out with a superb variety of Porsches on display, from classics to the latest GT3.
This year there was a record 145 cars on display, making it the largest single gathering of Porsches in Scotland. Even the weather was good!
Porsche Edinburgh kindly lent Tartan Tarmac this stunning Lava Orange 911 GTS to bring along. As well as looking pretty cool, it sounded fantastic! Have a listen to this video clip on our FaceBook page. A mini review of the car will be up on the TT website soon…
There was a great turn out on the day (no doubt helped by the kind weather!) and the standard of cars on display was superb.
During the day, vistors could vote for their choice of ‘Best in Show’ and this year it was won by a stunning 997 GT3 RS (sorry, photography fail, I didn’t get a full picture of the car)…
…With this immaculate 964 Turbo coming in 2nd.
And finally, no Porsche show would be complete without some seriously big spoilers!
Thanks to Brian and everyone involved with organising such a great day and here’s looking forward to next year!
Mike.
