Porsche in the Glen, 30th of August 2015

Porsche in the Glen 2014

Yes folks, back by popular demand and getting bigger every year, Porsche in the Glen is on again in 2015.

To give you a sample of what to expect, Tartan Tarmac made a video of last years event.

The time and venue, once again, is:
Sunday 30th August 12noon to 4pm
Calderglen Country Park
Strathaven Rd
East-Kilbride
G75 0QZ

Last year saw the biggest ever gathering of Porsche cars in Scotland and the organisers are looking to break the record for the fourth year in a row.

TT supported the event in 2014 with our video getting shared around the world by people like Magnus Walker and even Porsche recognised us for it. We’ll be there again this year and weather permitting the drone will once again be soaring over a field full of every model and colour of Porsche you can imagine. Adding to the mix of cars this year, TT will be supported by our very good friends at Porsche Centre Edinburgh who are supplying us with their latest models to display at the event.

Porsche in the Glen is a great day out for all the family with plenty to keep everyone amused:

  • Free entry to the Zoo and pets corner
  • Free entry to the conservatory
  • Free entry to the adventure playground and walk ways to the Calder Glen * Dogs allowed in park area *
  • Courtyard CafĂŠ where you will receive a 20 % discount on all food and drinks
  • Trade stands and popup shops
  • Display by Porsche Glasgow
  • Best In Show competition – First prize is a Porsche Silverstone Experience, donated by P4Porsche

Porsche in the Glen started in 2012 with just 56 cars in attendance, in 2013 we had 96 and last year had a magnificent 123 attend – due to the hard work of the organiser, Brian Wood, and the glorious weather on the day.

If you have any suggestions for this year’s show or would like to have a trade stand then please get in touch with Brian via: brian.wood2@tiscali.co.uk or on 01355 233482.

For non-Porsche owners, this is a great day out and you will be made most welcome. We’ve already got a thread on our forum discussing the day, feel free to click here and join in the conversation.

If you have a Porsche, any make or model from tractor to Targa, then you need to register to show it on the lawn. So please get in touch and we’ll get your information and contact details to the organisers.
