Porsche GT3 and Friends spring run

It was a lovely spring day in April that we gathered at the Porsche centre Glasgow for what tuned out to be one of the best runs I’ve ever been on.

This run started out being organised by Shocks a good friend of TT as a Porsche GT3 run but we couldn’t help but add a little Italianness to proceedings with a few interlopers from Maranello.

The day for me started off a little stressful, I noticed the evening before the run that my MOT ran out the very next day so at 8:30am I was at my local and trusted Kwik Fit in Milngavie for an emergency MOT. Kev my MOT tester quickly took care of business and with MOT certificate in hand off we went.

Day 1 weather was fantastic, our destination was inverness passing through some of the best roads Scotland has to offer, amazing scenery and fantastic cars, what more could you ask for?

Day 2 saw us heading from inverness to Torridon again some spectacular roads taking us to the very posh Torridon Hotel. The weather for the rest of the weekend didn’t quite live up to day 1 but that didn’t stop us, great fun was had by all and we made lots of new friends over the weekend.

Looking forward to next year’s run already. Check out the video below for a taste of what we got up to.

John.
