Car: 1979 Pontiac Trans Am

How long have you owned it: 14 Years

What made you buy it?: I grew up watching Smokey and the Bandit, A-team etc. Then had a holiday in Florida, age 12, my uncle took me out in his and I was hooked.

Any modifications?: Engine is Pontiac 400ci bored 30 thou over.
Flat top pistons.
Edelbrock intake.
Comp cam 268 hydraulic.
Holley 750 carburettor.
2.5″ stainless exhausts with 3″ tailpipes.

Suspension –
Front..QA1 adjustable springs at dampers.
Rear..air shocks.

Wheels –
Riddler Racing
Front 8×17
Rear 9.5×17

Interior –
Recaro front seats, all retrimmed last year with “Bandit ” logos on headrests
and door cards.

Bodywork –
1978 Nose cone fitted
Body and paint restored over the winter of 2016 by the genius that is Gary
Codling at Legend Autobody in Bonnybridge.
I really can’t speak highly enough of his work.

Car is painted in House of Kolor black cherry kandy with all stripes and logos
airbrushed.
Wheel centres also painted.

What’s next: Tidy up the engine bay and use the car as much as possible. Going to be doing the NC500 in it this year.
